The 2025 Hosanna was picked from September 1 to 19 and matured in 50% new oak barrels. Now this is a level up over the preceding Latour à Pomerol, with more energy locked into the nose, bright blackberry and raspberry fruit, hints of tobacco and light crushed stone scents. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, quite succulent tannins, fine acidity, juicy and caressing towards the satisfying finish. One of the more elegant Hosanna wines in recent years. Superb.

Ripe black fruits, graphite, liquid violets, and scorched earth all define the 2025 Château Hosanna, unquestionably one of the standouts in the Moueix lineup this year. A blend of 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Franc that's being raised in 50% new oak, it's rich and medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a pure, layered mouthfeel, remarkably polished tannins, and a great finish. It should shine with just short-term cellaring yet has a long life ahead of it.

The 2025 Hosanna is a wild, exotic beauty. Crème de cassis, cloves, licorice, chocolate and espresso soar out of the glass, conveying tons of sheer richness and power. As is often the case, Hosanna is quite the extrovert. There is certainly no shortage of intensity here. Plush contours wrap around the flamboyant close.

The 2025 Hosanna is showing excellent potential, wafting from the glass with notes of wild blueberries and blackberries mingled with hints of licorice and spices. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and polished, with a cool core of fruit, ripe tannins and excellent balance and integration, it's a blend of 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Franc.

About the producer

Château Hosanna 1:1
Hosanna

Château Hosanna is a relatively young wine label in Pomerol, but one with some of the richest heritage in the entire region. It couldn’t be better situated with Château Lafleur to the north, Vieux Château Certan to the south and flanked on either side by Pétrus and Château Lafleur-Pétrus.
