Juicy red and black fruits, leafy herbs, leather, and graphite all define the 2025 Château Carlmagnus, a complex, medium-bodied Fronsac with ripe tannins and terrific overall balance. On the palate, it brings a terrific amount of fruit and texture.

A solid red, structured and focused, with red berry aromas. Medium-bodied with chewy tannins. Well built with a compact finish.

The 2025 Carlmagnus shows improvement over past vintages. Sumptuous, dark red/black fruit, coffee, mocha, new leather, licorice and chocolate offer quite a bit of richness. The gentler style these days, including lower oak impact, is a positive. Tasted two times.

The 2025 Carlmagnus reveals aromas of licorice, lead pencil and cassis, with a pronounced dark-fruited profile. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and powerful, it’s built around a structured, limestone-influenced framework, combining depth with length.
