The 2025 Château d'Aiguilhe was picked from September 6 to 22 and matured in 20% new oak. This seems a bit reticent on the nose, needs more fruit, more vigour. That will come with time. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins, but it coheres very nicely on the mid-palate. Linear in style, very sapid, with moderate length, this often sells for a reasonable price and it should drink well for a decade.

Deep purple-hued, the 2025 Château D'Aiguilhe is based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc from very old vines and aging in 20% new oak. It has a classic limestone-driven profile in its red and black fruits, sappy flowers, and chalky minerality. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, with a pure, balanced, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and good acidity.
The 2025 d'Aiguilhe offers up a heady concoction of red/purplish fruit, lavender, black pepper, rose petal, cinnamon, new leather and blood orange. There's gorgeous textural depth here, but also plenty of energy to complement the wine's fruit intensity and overall richness. The tannins will need a bit of time to soften.
