Tasting notes
The 2025 Caillou Blanc Talbot is the first vintage that will be classed as a Médoc Blanc after the change in rules. It has an attractive, quite floral bouquet, white flowers, hints of apricot and custard creams. The palate is well balanced, with a fine bead of acidity, bright and lively, a little tang on the finish, but I like how the 88% Sauvignon imparts tension, and so this is a Caillou with less exoticism. Very fine.

Plenty of substance and volume, with delicious sweet lemons and herbs. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Round and mellow finish.
The 2025 Caillou Blanc de Talbot, a blend of 88% Sauvignon Blanc and 12% Sémillon (30% new oak), reflects a higher proportion of Sauvignon Blanc than usual due to reduced fruit set. It reveals aromas of confit citrus, clove, white fruits and pineapple. Medium- to full-bodied, juicy and dense, it’s enveloping despite the varietal balance, combining freshness with good length and an elegant finish.
