2018 Henri Giraud Cuvee Argonne

An utterly compelling Champagne. One of the most brilliantly thrilling savoury noses we have yet to encounter, with freshly cut grass, dried sage and lemon verbena dancing effortlessly over deeply savoury undertones of fennel seed and white pepper. Ginger, honeysuckle and apple blossom hint at the tertiary development to come. A wine of real intrigue and aromatic complexity, this is already captivating now, but will be fascinating to revisit in three to five years’ time.
