FINE+RARE
Tightly wound and intense at this stage. Julie Cavil’s description of “fragrant citrus on a silver platter” rings true – lemon confit, rind, orange blossom, and blood orange zest come to the fore, with a linearity and precision akin to the 1996 – energetic and focused, hinting at the depth the emerge with time in the bottle. Hints of hazelnut, almonds, baking spice, brioche and stone fruits emerge with time, with a textural breadth to balance the vivacity of this young wine. A few more years in bottle will see this singing.
