Score 100/100 · Drink 2029-2055, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2025

Based on 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Polyspline comes from the Ecotone Vineyard (70%) with the rest from Merryvale Vineyard in St. Helena. Deep inky hued, it shows stunningly pure cassis intermixed with graphite, crushed stone, iron, and leather, as well as a gorgeous floral character. It's full-bodied and incredibly concentrated, with building tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish. This absolutely sensational wine from Philippe Melka needs a solid 4-6 years in the cellar and will have 2-3 decades of prime drinking. Drink 2029-2055.
