The 2015 Côte Rôtie La Rose Brune (100% Syrah) comes all from the mica-schist soils of the Côte Rozier lieu-dit (northern part of the appellation) and was mostly destemmed and aged 20 months in 40% new barrels. It offers lots of black fruits, scorched earth and mineral aromas and flavors, and is rich, concentrated, and structured, with ripe tannin. With good acidity and purity, it needs short-term cellaring.
The 2015 Côte Rôtie La Rose Brune (100% Syrah aged 21 months in 40% new oak) comes all from the Côte Rozier lieu-dit in the northern region of the appellation and offers a full-bodied, rich and beautifully concentrated style. Spring flowers, crushed violets, peppercorns and hints of blueberries all emerge from the glass, and it has ripe tannin, integrated acidity and a great finish.
