Score 92/100 · Drink 2025-2031, Billy Norris, Vinous, Oct 2025

The 2023 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley is decidedly more savory than its vineyard-designate components, leaning into shades of wet soil, tobacco leaf and truffle before revealing a core of black fruit. The 2023 comes across a bit taut and compact in texture, but it impresses with its earthy nuances and long finish.

Score 92/100 · Drink 2025-2031, Matthew Luczy, Wine Advocate, Aug 2025

The 2023 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley features a red and black fruit bouquet with savory, tobacco-tinged notes, followed by a gracefully layered palate and a fine, powdery finish that echoes the earthiness of the nose while maintaining impressive purity. As is echoed in the vineyard-designate bottlings, this showcases a decidedly more earthy side than the coniferous, oceanic lift of the Santa Cruz Mountains bottling.
