Tasting notes
The 2024 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Murgers ler Cru was showing quite a lot of reduction on the nose when I tasted it at the Domaine. The palate is quite succulent and pastille-like on the entry. Sorbet-fresh red fruit but in this instance it doesn't quite deliver the bandwidth and detail that the '23 exuded last year.

A deft application of wood is present on the more deeply pitched nose of earthy wild dark currant aromas. There is both good volume and punch to the unusually fine medium-bodied flavors that are at once sappy and powerful while displaying very good length on the mildly austere finish where a hint of acid tang slowly emerges. This is also a lovely wine with the development potential to match. Drink 2034+
Murgers has a lovely, effortless presentation when based on Cavin Oaks. Has a delicate sweet tinge that carries the wine out of the 2024 misery… Charles has done very well in 2024. Drink from 2032
