Drink 2029-2040, FINE+RARE, Oct 2025

Hudelot-Noëllat’s village Chambolle is a blend of 11 parcels around the appellation to provide a true expression of the village as a whole. The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny from Hudelot-Noëllat is a beautifully poised, proper Chambolle, driven by gently pressed red fruits and an immediately seductive floral lift. Aromas of sweet raspberry and wild strawberry mingle with rose petals, subtle mint and a touch of liquorice, underpinned by a fine mineral thread and delicate spice. On the palate, it is elegant and juicy, medium-bodied yet seamless, with lively acidity carrying a pure core of fruit. The tannins are melting and finely textured, giving the wine a supple, graceful flow through the mid-palate. Fresh, precise and effortlessly refined, this is a quintessential Chambolle-Musigny that will drink well young but also reward short- to mid-term cellaring.

The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny Village has quite a fragrant bouquet with black cherries and black plummy scents, quite Vosne-like in terms of its florality. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, relatively simple but clean. It just lacks some complexity on the finish compared to the '23.

This is also aromatically fresh and bright with its perfumed array of cool red cherry, spice and rose petal. The silky but punchy flavors exude a subtle bead of minerality that adds to the appeal of the youthfully austere, firm and well-balanced finale. This could use better depth so at least a few years of keeping should be helpful.Drink 2031+

I do find a lot of things to love in the Chambolle … again frais and léger does find a place … not better than the Vosne village … but with more appeal – vin d`emotion. Drink from 2029.
