Tasting notes
Offering loads of classic appeal, the 2021 Pinot Noir Nuthouse pours a reflective ruby hue and opens with a perfume of red cherry, cola spice, and mossy earth. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with rounded fruit up front before revealing ripe tannins and a more savory undercurrent of umami richness. It’s hard to resist now but will benefit from another year in bottle. Drink 2025-2030.

Autumnal spices, dusty lavender and steeped plums form a darkly alluring bouquet as the 2021 Pinot Noir Nuthouse opens in the glass. Soft-textured, round and supple, it envelops the palate with ripe wild berry fruits and hints of cola as violet inner florals add lovely depth. Gently tannic, the 2021 finishes spicy and long yet remarkably fresh. Already incredibly easy to like, the Nuthouse Pinot Noir is balanced for a pretty evolution over the medium term.
The 2021 Pinot Noir Nuthouse is exotic in the glass, with cascading florals and foreign spices complicating dried strawberries. This soothes with its juicy textures and ripe red and blue fruits as a core of juicy acidity adds a lovely inner freshness, and sweet herbs amass toward the close. Chalky minerals linger as the mouth waters for more and gentle grippy tannins add youthful poise. Very nice. 20% whole clusters and 25% new French oak.
