Tasting notes
The 2024 Pommard Les Perrières is a vineyard undergoing replanting, the original vines planted in 1902. It has a light red cherry bouquet that is open-knit in style. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins but feels a little hollow on the mid-palate and needs more fruit on the finish. Early drinking.

Tank sample but wine was bottled last week. Transparent ruby – looks quite evolved! Sweet, flattering start but lacks a bit of drive and energy. (JR)

Mid purple. Plenty of fruit on the nose, largely red raspberry, something a little smoky alongside. Very charming pure fresh red fruit on the palate, impressive density, even some sun-dried cherry notes. Good tension born of acidity. Long reverberant finish.
