Tasting notes
Bright and spicy, you can feel the heat behind the clove and caramel, and the black-cherry flavours have a kirsch-like lift from alcohol. After a day, WeatherEye’s signature garrigue, desert sage and lavender, start to show through. This needs time. (PC)

Spicy in layers and layers of power, the 2022 Grenache WeatherEye Vineyard is considerably concentrated in thick black fruit, baking spice, and garrigue contrasting and complementing each other with skill and ease. It packs a punch, still developing its full-bodied core of smoked meat, iron, and herb. Fermented in concrete with 25% whole-cluster, age this another 10-12 years.
The 2022 Grenache WeatherEye Vineyard was fermented in concrete with 25% whole clusters and matured for 18 months in French oak. It’s scented of red cherry, blueberry, graham cracker, salami and earth. The full-bodied palate has ripe, somewhat confected flavors, soft tannins, juicy acidity and a spicy finish. 79 cases were made.
A burst of chalk dust, white pepper, savory herbs and saw dust gives way to dried strawberries as the 2022 Grenache High Canyon Series WeatherEye Vineyard comes to life in the glass. Juicy to the core, this envelops the palate with silken textures, showcasing liquid violet florals and depths of ripe blackberries and spice. Seamless is the word, as the 2022 tapers off long and staining with a wild blueberry concentration that adds a tactile grip framed by silty tannins.
