Score 90/100 · Drink 1992-1997, Robert Parker, Dec 1992
Last Tasted 6/92 A stunning 1987, this wine's bouquet offers the earthy, saddle leather, meaty, red fruit aromas of Pinot Noir. In the mouth, there is rich, sweet fruit touched with herbaceousness, medium body, and a long, velvety finish. Fully mature, the 1987 Clos des Reas from Jean Gros should continue to drink well for another 4-5 years.
