1994 Domaine Raveneau Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru

Deep copper. Lightly toffee nose and masses of acidity. A wine for real devotees of mature Chablis (who might prefer to keep it even longer). There is certainly weight here and purity and fluidity but newcomers to the style might prefer more freshness of fruit. Light deposit of tartrates and a hint of honey. Impressively long. If anything, tasted better 24 hours after opening. (JR)
