Score 89/100 · Drink 1994-1995, Robert Parker, Jan 1990
Go after the rich, oaky, splendidly perfumed, expansive Chambolle-Musigny les Amoureuses. This wine is very aromatic and loaded with fruit. It is an absolute joy to drink. Groffier used 100% new oak in 1986 for his top wines and did a serious saigner, a bleeding out of the excess juice. The excess was sold to several negociants in Beaune! While this wine will require drinking by 1994-1995, I doubt that anyone will complain.
