1988 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux 1er Cru

Back in the day I bought two bottles of the 1988 Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux 1er Cru, one that I shared at an off-line (and failed to arouse the interest I expected) and so the second polished off at home. It has a gorgeous wild strawberry and cranberry nose that again evokes a sense of what I describe as "brooding power". The palate has a sublime sense of balance, utterly refined with an edgy, ferrous-tinged finish that is full of tension. Beguiling. Tasted chez moi .
