Score 87/100 · Drink 1993-2000, Robert Parker, Jan 1997

Restaurants looking for a reasonably priced Cote Rotie that is fully ready to drink might want to take a look at the bacon fat- and cassis-scented 1987. This smooth, medium-bodied, deliciously ripe, round Cote Rotie is fully mature, but is in danger of losing its fruit. It should drink well for another 6-7 years. Last tasted 3/93.
