Score 95/100 · Drink 1994-2014, Robert Parker, Aug 1994
Last Tasted Sullivan's 1984 is a blockbuster, fabulously rich Cabernet Sauvignon with huge, cedary, chocolatey, and cassis flavors that are so thick and chewy they appear capable of crawling up the inside of the glass and leaping out. Extremely full-bodied, with sensational balance for its size, this mammothly-constructed, highly extracted Cabernet possesses the opulence and near over-ripeness of the 1984 vintage, as well as excellent balance. It should drink well for 15-20+ more years. For a winery prone to inconsistent performances, this is a superb effort.
