Tasting notes
One of the more immediate, fleshy wines in this extensive lineup, the 2012 Zinfandel Cobb Vineyard is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. Suave, silky and juicy on the palate, the 2012 is built on a core of open, resonant fruit. Sweet spices notes add nuance in a distinctly supple Zinfandel with tons of near-term appeal.

(from five parcels of zin vines planted on granitic soil at an altitude of 1,500 feet): High-toned aromas of pungent cranberry, green peppercorn and dried herbs. Similarly high-toned and vibrant in the mouth, with lovely perfume to the flavors of red berries, minerals and crushed rock. Densely packed wine with serious but ripe palate-saturating tannins. The best 2012 zins at this address are really marvelously aromatic.
