Matured in 50% new oak.  Inky purple. Super-deep spice and ripe enticing fruit. Nice bouncy energy to the acidity and fine firm tannin. Floral violet lift. Juicy and wonderful. Incredibly long. (SCJ)

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville comes from a mix of four sites in Coombsville and was brought up all in barrel. It has a Saint-Julien-like perfume of pure cassis and blue fruits, as well as spring flowers, leafy herbs, and crushed stone. It's beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, has integrated acidity, and a great finish. You can put this up with the crème de la crème of the vintage. It's going to keep for 10-15 years and is well worth your time and money.

Slated for release in September 2025, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville is a dark, brooding, savory effort, its cassis fruit underscored by hints of crushed stone and pencil shavings. It's medium to full-bodied, tight and focused, framed by soft, dusty tannins and finishing long and elegant.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville is every bit as captivating as it was last year, even if its less expressive post-bottling today. Succulent red-toned fruit, blood orange, spice, new leather and pomegranate soar out of the glass. Vibrant and layered, with plenty of cool-toned Coombsville savoriness, the 2022 has so much to offer.
