Score 92/100 · Drink 1992-2004, Robert Parker, Dec 1992

The 1990 Pommard-Les Pezerolles behaves like a Pommard in its full-bodied, pumped-up, rich style, but there is enough grace, charm, and finesse to suggest that Lafarge was trying to give it a degree of Volnay-like elegance. The deep saturated ruby/purple color is followed by a tight but promising nose of jammy red and black fruits, earth, and toasty oak. Full-bodied and rich, this substantial yet lively, stylish, seductive wine should continue to drink well for 10-12 years. A Becky Wasserman Selection - various importers.
