Score 94-96/100 · Drink 2029-2050, Neal Martin, Jan 2026

The 2024 Chambertin Grand Cru includes around 30% whole bunch and 60% new oak this year. This has a very well-defined bouquet with impressive purity and detail, blossoming in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins but there is more body here compared to other Chambertin wines tasted in 2024, partly due to the wood tannins that are neatly integrated into the layered red fruit. There is commendable sustain on the finish; this is a very fine, very seductive Chambertin.
