Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Feb 2025

Bergman's 2019 Red Wine includes a bit more Cabernet Franc than the 2018 and was made at Mending Wall by Graeme MacDonald. It's a medium to full-bodied example of Napa Cabernet, rather open-knit yet also less rich and weighty than the 2018 made by Brad Grimes. Cassis, mocha and dark chocolate notes dominate the nose, lingering on the supple finish. I'm told this wine may be offered to mailing-list members as part of a library trio with the 2018 and 2020.
