There are just two big barrels of the 2024 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a medium- to full-bodied, concentrated and chalky wine evocative of pear, toasted nuts and peach, framed by a deft touch of oak. Racy, compact and penetrating, this has turned out nicely.

The 2024 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières ler Cru was showing some reduction on the nose, though it is clear there is plenty of fruit behind it. The palate is well balanced with orange rind and nectarine on the entry, quite exotic for a Folatières, nicely composed however on the finish. This will need a couple of years once in bottle but I cannot help thinking that it could have given more.

(This is the Domaine Louis Jadot version on the Clos de la Garenne side). Medium lemon yellow. Not immediately demonstrative but there is a very obvious weight of flavour further back on the palate. The balance between the fruit and the acidity works very well, and the intensity continues to develop further. Needs more elevage.
