The 2023 Cherubino Chardonnay is really very inviting right from the off, full of quince, apricot and fresh honeysuckle with the gentlest hint of struck-match reduction. On the palate lemon peel and pink grapefruit rise above a taught line of bright, zippy acidity. Refreshing, moreish and ever so slightly saline this is a charming expression of Chardonnay from Margaret River.

Refined and focused aromas of honeysuckle, flint, lemon curd and candied lime zest. The palate is medium-bodied with striking acidity and a rounded mouthfeel, giving notes of green apples, peaches and hazelnuts. A tightly wound wine that will evolve nicely in the bottle. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
The 2023 Gingin Willows Vineyard Chardonnay leads with white pepper and crushed nuts, white peach and lanolin, spring florals and a hint of sandalwood. In the mouth, the wine is precise, quiet and talcy, with musk and spearmint, almond meal and roasted hazelnuts. There is a hint of buttery popcorn on the nose. Green apples and pears color the finish. This is a nice wine from a lovely, mild, season in Margaret River. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
13.5% alcohol. Nice presence here with fine spices, some mealy notes and a touch of lemon, with peachy richness but also some saline character.
