Tasting notes
A brilliant silver/straw hue, the 2022 Chardonnay Abeona takes things to another level, with layered complexity and a hauntingly weightless feel that is a calling card trait in the best wines from Maggie Harrison and her team. It reveals notes of fresh pear, Marcona almond, fresh flowers, and crushed stones. It's full-bodied, yet it has a weightless feel, with an underlying chalkiness of structure and a long-lasting finish. It’s going to reward a few years’ patience in the cellar, and should have lasting aging potential. Drink 2025-2040.

Rich, lavish marzipan, poached pear, toasted almond and honey flavors and a plush, almost unctuous texture. Great depth and length, full-bodied, long and lingering. A truly exceptional, memorable wine that’s among Oregon’s very best. Drink now or hold.
Depths of crushed apricot mingle with raw almonds, sweet mint and a whiff of lemon sorbet as the 2022 Chardonnay Abeona blossoms in the glass. The palate is coated with glycerol depth, further enhanced by masses of ripe orchard fruit, all supported by brisk acidity and a stern mineral core. It tapers off with teeth-chattering tension, structured and long with nuances of sage and a hint of ginger that linger impossibly long. The 2022 Chardonnay Abeona hails entirely from the Seven Springs Vineyard and was refined in 53.9% new oak. A truly soulful wine.
