2021 Alberto Voerzio Barolo Castagni

Moving to the Barolo offerings, the 2021 Barolo Castagni is a youthful, saturated red color. It’s appealing and a touch introverted, with ripe aromas of fresh leather, spiced cherries, sweet tobacco, and rosemary. It’s ripe on the palate, with velvety, ripe tannins, even acidity, and good length, complemented by a hint of meaty richness that’s well-balanced and never heavy. I expect it to gracefully over the coming 15-20 years.
