Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,779 g. NHB! Deep purple. Brambly black fruit. Fine-grained lightly drying tannin and mouth-watering tangy acidity on the palate with enough black fruit to pull through the finish. A whole different animal than their entry level wine – I wouldn't have guessed that they were the same brand if I hadn't been looking at the label. (SCJ)

Red and black fruits, graphite, and leather notes all emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon 1 Post. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins, chocolate notes, and beautiful balance, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and drink well for 15+ years.
From Block 1 of the estate vineyard in Saint Helena, Crocker and Starr's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon 1 Post delivers refined aromas of crushed stone, pencil shavings and black cherries. Despite weighing in at only 14.4% alcohol, this feels bigger and more expansive in the mouth, spreading over the palate in a wave of mouthwatering fruit before finishing with ripples of softly dusty tannins. Not a huge brooding monster, it's a wine that comes across as sneaky good, long and harmonious on the finish. Impressive.
