Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Jeb Dunnuck, Jul 2025

The 2022 Pinot Noir Dierke is also from the Sonoma Coast and is a youthful ruby/magenta hue. It leads with snappy and savory notes of scorched orange peel, grenadine, clove, and saddle leather. The palate is linear and focused, with a medium-bodied frame, and it has fine, angular tannins, a bright spine of acidity, and zesty spices lasting on the finish. It has appealing tension in this warm vintage, with a refreshing feel that can age over the coming 12-15 years if stored in cool cellars.
