Score 93+/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Oct 2025

The NV La Bota de Fino Chiclana 135 is a new bottling of Fino sourced from Chiclana, from the winery of Manuel Aragón, a serious and austere Fino, with textbook notes of esparto grass and wet chalk, still easy to drink, despite being seven to eight years of age. This is still a baby, bottled in September 2025. This is serious and powerful, closer to the wines from Jerez on the nose and with a lighter palate and more salinity, narrower than the stony concentration of the wines from Macharnudo, for example, leaving a salty, marine sensation. It's long and tasty, with a saline finish. It should grow in bottle. 3,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2025.
