Tasting notes
The 2017 Schlossböckelheim Kupfergrube GG—marketed as Reserve and never released before, like the 2017 Hermannsberg GG—offers a very clear, bright yet intense and flinty bouquet of ripe, well-concentrated but elegant and spicy fruits with notes of crushed stones. Full-bodied, tight and juicy on the palate, this is a powerful but elegant, crystalline, persistently saline and tensioned Riesling with fine bitters and still enormous aging potential. This is truly a rich and powerful wine that is still young and will become even finer in the next few years. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.

Late release. Intense aromas of dried fruits and baked apples, honey and preserved lemons, with hints of marzipan scattered on the edges. Full-bodied and concentrated with a gentle grip and long, mouth-watering citrus finish. (PS)
