Score 92/100 · Drink 2025-2035, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Oct 2025

The 2023 Riesling Estate comes from vines planted in 2016, and the wine matured for 10 months in stainless steel and used, 600-liter Stockinger demi-muids. It demands air to reveal aromas of white stone fruit, lime peel, beeswax, slate and candle smoke. The light-bodied palate offers ripe yet understated flavors and a softly mouth-coating texture. Its power is balanced by linear acidity, and it has a long, elegant finish. 125 cases were made.

The 2023 Riesling Estate is classy, elegant and polished. Interestingly, Riesling here is as much a wine of place as it is of variety. Citrus confit, marzipan, white flowers and mint all take shape. There's an unusual touch of mid-palate creaminess, likely the result of full malolactic fermentation.
