Light Rosé in hue, the 2021 Sparkling Old Vine Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard is a wine of real identity. Brambly red berry fruit, cedar, blood orange zest and bitter amaro herbs all unfurl in generous layers, with a bump of mid-palate heft that really pulls it all together through the long, lifted finish. It may sound like an oversimplification, but this wine really tastes like Zinfandel, and it really tastes like Bedrock Vineyard. Bottling with zero dosage lends such energy here. Disgorged in April of 2025, the 2021 Sparkling Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard has a pale coral color and intense aromas of white fruit, red berries, bread dough and spice. The light-bodied palate is dry and refreshing with creamy mousse, vibrant acidity and a simple yet pleasing finish.
