Tasting notes
The 2023 Pinot Noir Calegari Vineyard opens with a blast of sweet oak, chocolate, plum, new leather, cloves and vanillin. There's plenty of Russian River exuberance on display, but less in the way of subtlety or elegance. Perhaps a bit of time in barrel will help soften the brawny tannins. Drink this brash Pinot over the next 10-15 years.

Matured for 16 months in 63% new French oak, the 2023 Pinot Noir Calegari Vineyard has layered aromas of blueberry, pomegranate, forest floor, flint and tangerine peel. The full-bodied palate features highly concentrated, detailed flavors. It has a frame of velvety tannins, mouthwatering acidity and a long, spicy finish. 610 cases were made.
