Tasting notes
Blueberries, darker fruits, minty herbs, and graphite all shine in the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon The Birdseye, which is sourced from Larkmead Vineyard and aged 20 months in 75% new French oak. It's medium to full-bodied, with a nicely balanced, enjoyable mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a good finish. With roughly 199 cases produced, it should drink well over the coming decade. Drink 2025-2035.

Sourced from Larkmead, Hobel's 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon The Birdseye is the most delicate of Hobel's latest releases, with ephemeral scents of strawberries joining wild blueberries and hints of tea leaves. It's medium-bodied and gently tannic, with a silky mouthfeel and lingering finish.
The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon The Birdseye is one of the most beautiful wines I have tasted from Cameron Hobel. Vibrant and layered, with terrific energy, the 2023 impresses with its tension and drive. Cool blue-toned fruit, lavender, mint, spice and menthol lend tons of nuance. I don't think I have ever tasted a Larkmead Cabernet with this much finesse
