Score 88/100 · Drink 2002-2006, Robert Parker, Aug 2002

Acacia's 2000 Pinot Noir Carneros (20,367 cases) is an excellent value, especially for Pinot Noir. Its dark ruby color is followed by a creamy-textured Pinot offering aromas of dried herbs, leather, and sweet strawberries and black cherries. It is ripe and spicy, with gritty tannin in the finish. It will drink well for 3-4 years. Tel. (707) 226-9991; Fax (707) 226-1685

Medium red. Initially reduced nose showed spicy cherry and raspberry with aeration. Sweet, silky and mouthfilling, with fairly intense flavors of strawberry and raspberry preserves firmed by harmonious acidity. Juicy, lingering finish of cherry and berries.
