Score 87/100 · Robert Parker, Dec 2000

Made in abundant quantities (6,400 cases), the 1999 Pinot Noir (14.2% alcohol) reveals an evolved, dark plum/garnet color in addition to aromas of damp forest, loamy soil, herbs, plums, cherry, and smoke. Medium-bodied, with an aggressively tannic finish, it is a good effort. (Not yet released) Tel. (707) 254-4200; Fax (707) 254-4201
