Tasting notes
Vineyard 7 & 8's 2016 Chardonnay Estate is classy, polished and elegant, with terrific freshness and verve backed up by the structure that is such a signature of this snaking hillside parcel on Spring Mountain. Despite the full malo and batonnage used in aging, the 2016 retains a good deal of cut. The 2016 turned out beautifully.

The 2016 Chardonnay Estate opens with tantalizing scents of green mango, pineapple and lemon meringue pie with nuances of cashews, candied ginger and brioche. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers incredible tension and depth, with loads of tightly wound tropical and savory layers plus a silken texture, finishing very long.
The 2016 Chardonnay Estate is another impressive wine from Vineyard 7&8. Tasted next to the 2015, the 2016 has a bit more aromatic freshness, lift and brightness, but as is so often the case with this wine, structure and texture are the main signatures.
