Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Franc Old Vine has developed beautifully. Aromatic, ripe and texturally intense, the 2015 is drinking quite well today. It's a powerful, dense wine that shows the style that was in place at the time, specifically with greater extraction and a heavier hand with oak.

Aromas of blackberry and flower. Hints of lavender and licorice. Full body, round and juicy with ripe tannins and a flavorful finish.
Sporting a deep purple-black color, the 2015 Cabernet Franc Estate opens with crushed black cherries and licorice notes with dark chocolate and sautéed herbs plus cardamom and tilled soil hints. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, it's refreshing in the mouth with great expression and a long, earthy finish.
A real knock-out and a profound wine, the 2015 Cabernet Franc Old Vines is composed of 90% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot. Dense bluish purple, this wine is limited in production but exhibits extraordinary blueberry and black raspberry fruit, some graphite and white flowers, silky tannins and a layered mouthfeel that builds incrementally to a full-bodied, long, rich and complex finish. It should drink well for 15-20 years. It is super-impressive.
