This winery produces supple, full-bodied, heady, rich Pinot Noirs that are about as seductive as this varietal can be. The 1992's brilliant, polished dark ruby color is followed by a restrained nose that, with coaxing, offers up sweet berry scents. The real treat is the decadently rich, fat, jammy flavors that cascade over the palate as if this wine were liquid velvet. It is not going to be an ager (but how many Pinot Noirs or red Burgundies actually improve beyond 5-7 years?), so drink it over the near term. This was one of the most seductive wines of my tastings!
