1994 El Molino Chardonnay Rutherford

I have enjoyed just about everything this winery has produced, and their 1994 Napa Chardonnay is another noteworthy effort. Although tight, it offers up attractive, smoky, mineral, and rich, citrusy fruit scents. Medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated acidity, a subtle wood note, and layers of fruit, this is a youthful, unevolved, but rich, stylish Chardonnay with a certain minerality to its character.
