Tasting notes
Blend of Napa and Sonoma. Stinky rich nose that is reminiscent of a very fine Pessac-Léognan. Well done! Except for the naughty heavy bottle. Very rich finish but everything is well integrated and balanced and it is positively revelling in its oak corset. Distinctly superior. I saw Bill Blatch at the London Go West tasting and wanted him to taste this as a riposte to Bordeaux. (JR)

Sauvignon Blanc. 67% Napa, 33% Sonoma fruit. Grassy. Lively. But not that distinctive. Good freshness on the nose and attractive herbal fruit. Rather sweet finish. (JR)
The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc Illumination offers lots of honeyed grapefruit and caramelized citrus notes in a medium-bodied, fresh, lively style. There is a hint of oak in the background. Drink it over the next several years.
