Tasting notes
Good deep red. Musky strawberry and minerals on the nose. Sweet and deep, with lovely concentration of red fruit and spice flavors. This is juicy and not at all burnt by the sun. Finishes complex and long, with sweet tannins. The yield in this parcel was normal in 2003, as the vines run north-south and the grapes were protected from the worst of the midday sun. Delicious.

Fresh earth, blackberries, cassis, and cherries are found in the nose of the 2003 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes. Armed with gorgeous breadth, purity, and balance, this lush, medium to full-bodied effort coats the palate with sweet red cherries and ripe tannin. Projected maturity: 2006-2014. Importer: Neal Rosenthal Wine Merchant, New York, NY; tel. (800) 910-1990
Bright red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry liqueur, violet and minerals. Very sweet but fresh; here the black fruit flavors show a vibrancy that comes from the wine's stony character. Very ripe but not overripe. These vines are planted north to south and thus suffered less from the sun in 2003.
