Score 85-87/100 · Drink 2025-2029, Neal Martin, Nov 2024

The 2023 Bourgogne Pinot Noir comes from vines located in Volnay. This has an expressive bouquet with raspberry and crushed strawberry fruit, touches of violet emerging with time. There is a signature Volnay character translated here. The palate is well balanced with slightly powdery tannins and a pleasant fleshiness that rounds out the finish. This is a step up from the 2022.
