Tasting notes
Brilliant red. Ripe red berries, botanical herbs and candied flowers on the nose; a smoky mineral accent builds in the glass. Sappy, energetic and penetrating on the palate, offering intense bitter cherry, raspberry preserve and spicecake flavors that fan out through the back half. Chewy and precise on the persistent finish, which features resonating spiciness and mounting tannins.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Stone Corral Vineyard offers more seaside and subtle iodine nuances emerging from the glass, and it has a beautiful core of framboise and strawberry fruits, nicely integrated oak, and just about flawless balance on the palate. It’s another pretty, pure, elegant wine in the lineup that will evolve for over a decade. This was all destemmed and spent 14 months in 37% new French oak.
