Served from Coravin, the 2024 Eltville Collection Spätlese is very precise, finely reductive, saline and citric on the nose. Round, refined and filigreed on the palate, this is a light, crystalline, saline, savory and very mouthwatering Spätlese with concentrated and finely juicy fruit and fine, mineral grip. 7% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2025.

The Spatlese category continues to be drastically underrated due to the whims of fashion, but this comes close to the maximum of finesse and filigree that a riesling Spatlese is capable of. Kaleidoscopic complexity of delicate floral, Amalfi lemon and Mirabelle plum aromas. Off-the-scale filigree in the super-long and refined finish. In spite of the high acidity, it is incredibly silky. Very limited production. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink or hold.
