700 liters (instead of 70 liters like in several other estates) have been made of the 5.5% alcohol 2013 Lieser Niederberg Helden Riesling Beerenauslese, which reflects a stringent botrytis selection both in the vineyard and again in the press house and turns out to be one of the Best Buys of the 2013 vintage. The noble sweet wine offers ripe and cooked peach aromas on the nose leading to an enormously sweet but also extremely delicate, precise, piquant and finesse-filled palate. And in 2010, botrytis concentrated acidity to beyond Eiswein parameters also in 2013.

Intense orange and apricot aroma, very sweet and very high acid, not yet working together but looking good for a long future with such depth of fruit and freshness. (JH)
