2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Dent de Chien

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Dent de Chien 1er Cru has a little more reduction on the nose compared to the En Remilly, as well as a tad more new oak (50% utilized here—Stockinger barrel). The palate is quite rounded on the entry. Here, I seek more grip and structure, but the acidity is nicely judged. It just doesn't quite muster the same mineralité as the La Romanée on the finish, but it will provide pleasant earlier-drinking Chassagne.
